Recommendations to Strengthen the Key Programs That Support Youth in Foster Care

Journey to Success continues to lead the call for modernization of the Chafee program. And Congress is listening! The House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Work and Welfare recently held a hearing on Chafee reform, “Aging Out is Not a Plan: Reimagining Futures for Foster Youth,” and invited Journey to Success to submit written testimony.

Our testimony highlights nine key recommendations to reform Chafee, grounded in data and extensive input from youth with experience in foster care. Our campaign looks forward to working alongside the committee toward a result that modernizes Chafee and creates brighter futures for all transition-age youth experiencing foster care.
