Four years ago, the Journey to Success campaign launched with a clear goal: to build on the legacy of youth-led advocacy that inspired the passage of the Chafee Foster Care Program for Successful Transitions to Adulthood and to advance policies that improve outcomes for young people with foster care experience. 

The Chafee program and other federal and state policy reforms have led to important improvements (check out the campaign’s Milestone Report for more details).  Yet, too many young people in and from foster care still face a steep climb on their journey to adulthood. 

Journey to Success supports the movement by serving as a bridge between advocates and policymakers—helping elevate lived experience, sharing best practices, and showcasing data-informed policy solutions. We are pleased to share a snapshot of recent activity across the campaign and our partner network.
